• How to Become a UDC Member

    Women interested in becoming a member of the United Daughters of the confederacy must be able to answer yes to the following guidelines:

    • Over the Age of 16
    • Blood, Lineal or Collateral Descendant of men and women who honorably served for the Confederate States of America in the Navy, Civil Service, Army or gave Material Aid to the cause
    • Women who are lineal or collateral blood descendants of United Daughters of the Confederacy members / former members are also eligible


    To be admitted into the UDC, you must receive an invitation through a UDC Chapter.  If you are unsure of your closest chapter, you may contact the general organization – visit www.hqudc.org for details.

    If you reside in Russell County, Alabama or within one of the following towns / cities, contact the Russell County UDC for membership information.  Our district is the Letitia Ross District.

    • Fort Mitchell
    • Ladonia
    • Phenix City
    • Pittsview
    • Seale
